Tech Dept Offerings for 2022-2023

We are thrilled to be offering several options for students who would rather not be in the spotlight. Our TIP Crew (Tech-in-Progress) encompasses all things backstage: from lighting, special effects, and backstage crew to set design, construction + prop making.

FALL SEMESTER: Sept 6 – Nov 8

  • Open House: Tuesday, August 30 @noon (mandatory for new families; optional for returning)
  • 10 weeks (Tuesday or Thursday, Sept 6/8 – Nov 8/10)

SPRING SEMESTER: April 27-May 18

Expect classes and workshops that are one week, two weeks, or all four weeks. Some will be an hour, others will be 90 minutes or 2 hours…! Spring workshops cover dance intensives, tech classes, art, journalism, film, and more!

Internships Available!

At illuminate, we put internships at the forefront of our company. We believe that our students have been blessed with talents which we hope to help them discover and nurture. In the Acting Department, it is possible for a student to work their way up to being the Director of a large class or production, if they have gone through the steps provided! We want our students to dream big while discovering where their passions lie.
