Laying the Foundation to Shine

The Board of Directors and Membership of illuminate are made up of illuminate families, community neighbors, and alumni. Their purpose is to steer the company forward, backed by the Membership of illuminate, laying the foundation for future generations.

  1. Support the mission statement of the company

  2. Select and support the Executive Director.

  3. Ensure effective planning.

  4. Monitor and strengthen programs and services.

  5. Ensure adequate financial resources.

  6. Protect assets and provide proper financial oversight.

  7. Build a competent Board of Directors.

  8. Ensure legal and ethical integrity

  9. Enhance the organization’s public standing.

The terms of the Board of Directors are two years on a rotating schedule, starting on June 1 when our fiscal year begins. Meetings are typically held every 2 months. Click here for more details; click here for our By-Laws

    • Any person, aged 18+, who is a Member of Illuminate and supports the mission of Illuminate is eligible for the fiscal year beginning June 1, 2024 (learn more about membership here!).
