Over the past year, a movement has quietly begun to revitalize the Union Theatre in Downtown Attleboro. Through the community collaboration facilitated by MassDevelopment’s TDI Program, a local nonprofit theatre arts company, illuminate creative + theatrical arts co, was connected to the Union building’s owners. Goals aligned. We have begun the process of applying for state and private grant funds. Plans have been drawn up by a trusted architect, builders consulted, contracts signed. The first major steps have been taken already, and a public capital campaign is getting ready to launch.
