Did you know that our puppet program is only 4 years old, but in that time it has grown from one workshop with a few students to 5 classes in puppetry for ages 4-18, with touring Puppetry Team called "The Luminators!" Students are learning the basics of puppetry: how to create a character, how to build a puppet from scratch, vocal work, and more in their classes. Meanwhile, "The Luminators" are creating original episodes to be aired on YouTube while touring to area libraries, Capron Park Zoo, and other festivals that request them.
We have even expanded our puppets to "roaming attractions" at exhibits at the Attleboro Art Museum and the Attleboro Public Library's "Summer Reading Kick Off."
All of this has been made possible by the Mass Cultural Council, specifically the Norton Cultural Council, Attleboro Cultural Council, Wrentham Cultural Council, and Mansfield Cultural Council. Their support has also allowed us to maintain our popular Children's Theatre program, and at many events, the children's theatre characters joined the puppets to create an extra special performance for patrons - all free!
If you are interested in being part of one of the teams, click on "Community Teams" to see them all. If you are interested in booking one of the teams, those pages will also lead you to a team request form. We do not charge for performances in any way.
Thank you to the generosity of the Massachusetts Cultural Council for making these events possible!
