Media Department

In this class, students will learn the basics of screenwriting, including concept development, story structure and the mechanics of screenwriting. Taught by a professional screenwriter, students will write their own short screenplay that may even be filmed in a professional studio. 

n this class, students ages 8-11 will learn the basics of photography from an industry professional! From navigating and using equipment to capturing the best images to editing, students will be encouraged to be creative and have fun while learning new skills! 

In this class, students will create a film from scratch! From the basics of equipment, setting, and lighting to shooting and capturing the action, students will learn about this artform from every angle. 

a monthly outreach team using film, photography, and graphic design to come alongside illuminate’s outreach efforts while learning and growing these skills. Professional coaches will meet with the Media Team each month to instruct, and there will be other times available for the team to edit and work on projects together.
