About the event
After graduating with a Bachelor in Industrial Design Technology from the Art Institute of Pittsburg, James began working as a set and prop builder for Fisher Price's "Little People." He next switched gears from a stop-motion series to a live action PBS puppet show called "It's A Big Big World." For this production he designed and fabricated props ranging from Fossils to 8 feet long foam tree branches that had to blend with a CGI background. Working for these companies, James was subject to create artwork that had to be faithful to the design and style that was expected of the franchise. James currently works on the monster design and fabrication for a couple of independent films.
In this workshop, he will demonstrate tips and tricks to special effects makeup in an interactive and challenging workshop geared for ages 12-18.
