Fall: 6 week session for ages 8-11
This six week class will be for beginner hand sewing. We will focus on running/ gathering stitch, back stitching, blanket stitching as well as sewing on buttons. Each week the children will be building on their skill while making fun and simple crafts with their new talents. The final project will work with cutting and tracing out a pattern to build a Monster. We would love for you to join us in this Monstrous good time!
Winter: 10 week session for ages 10-18
This ten week class will be for ages 12-18 beginner hand sewing class. We will focus on running/gathering stitch, back stitch, blanket stitch as well as hem stitch. We will also work on some basic Embroidery stitches. Each week the students will be building their skills by working on a few different projects. The final weeks we will also work on tracing and cutting out patterns as well as sewing on buttons and patches. The final project will be determined by the class and the instructor together.
